Orchard House, Home of Little Women
Last week, the girls and I and their friend, Gwen, went to a really cool program at Orchard House in Concord. Orchard House is the home of Louisa May Alcott, author of Little Women. The program was called "A Morning with the Alcotts." The girls got to meet May Alcott, upon whom the character of Amy was based and Ellen Emerson, Ralph Waldo's daughter, go on a tour of Orchard House and play some games and do a craft from that time period.
