Amanda has inherited Jay's knack for sarcasm without the sarcastic voice. This is the conversation we had today.
Amanda (with no inflection in her voice whatsoever): "Thank you very much, mommy".
Me: "For what, Amanda?"
Amanda (again, no inflection): "For giving my sisters stickers and not saving any for me. I really appreciate it."
I don't know if I should be proud but I think this might be her first unassisted use of sarcasm.

I'm proud...the apple does not fall too far from the grandma tree...I love it! I spend all day with senior citizens who do not appreciate (and rarely get) my sarcasm.
Love,
Mom
uh, mom.. I will double check my math but I'm pretty sure you are also a "senior" citizen. Sorry to have to break it to you.
